KATHMANDU, THE CITY OF ART AND CULTURE

The history of Nepal began in, and centers on, the Kathmandu valley. The largest city of Nepal where the amazing culrural and artistic heritage reveals itself in hidden temples overflowing with marigolds. The history and the cultural present of kathmandu is directly related with the history and culture  of Newar people. The historic durbar square and Hanumandhoka is attracting visitors toeards the centre of town.
Strolling around Kathmandu's medieval-like old town, appreciating the amazing architectural monuments of durbar square and taking the day trips out to the nearby Unesco world heritage sights of Swayambhunath, Pashupatinath, Bodhnath and patan. Durbar square contains the all heritage and unbelievable arts in kathmandu valley. Ashok Binayek, or golden maru Ganesh Shrine ,the temple before 19th century and the amazing erotic art inside it is the interesting part of this. Hanuman dhoka, Tribhuwan museum and many other old heritage resembles the art of Kathmandu, the city of temple. kathmandu's indra jatra festival is one of the most interesting festival, the cultural festival of Newar community. The old Greater Thamel is specially for tourists for shopping, lodging and fooding. The thamel area is designed in very artistic manner.
                Not only inside the crowed and noisy kathmandu one can visit the Newari architecture of Patan's durbar square and around the kathmandu valley you can lost yourself in the backstreets of Bhaktapur,Swayambhunath stupa, Nagarjun forest reserve, Shivapuri national park, Changu Narayan temple, Nagarkot, Banepa, Dhulikhel and around. To caught this beauty of kathmandu and around it one should settle here for at least one week.
